Richard Durot, PE

Mr. Durot is a project engineer and the construction materials testing department manager. He has been with GeoTek for 3 years and has more than 6 years of experience. He is an Arizona-registered civil professional engineer. He evaluates residential, commercial, industrial, and roadway projects and writes geotechnical reports covering foundation design, pavement design, earth fissures, seismic design, rippability, and soil parameters. He has managed earthwork, civil infrastructure, and structural special inspection projects, and he reviews field and laboratory reports. As department manager he is responsible for the firm's testing, for training field, laboratory, and office staff, and for laboratory equipment. He writes proposals for geotechnical evaluations and construction materials testing, and he has done manometer surveys and forensic evaluations. Earlier he logged auger, downhole-hammer, and rock-core borings, classified soils, supervised drill rigs, and coordinated Arizona Blue Stake, permits, inspections, and traffic control across Arizona.
