Richard Durot, PE

Mr. Durot is a Project Engineer / Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Department Manager and has been with the firm for 3 years and has over 6 years of experience. He is an Arizona-registered Professional Engineer (Civil). His professional experience includes a wide variety of development projects including geotechnical design and materials testing and inspection services. His geotechnical design experience includes evaluation of residential, commercial, industrial and roadway projects. He prepares and reviews development of site recommendations with final geotechnical evaluation reports including foundation design, pavement design, earth fissure documentation and mitigation, seismic design, subsurface rippability and design soil parameters. As a Project Engineer he has managed several earthwork, civil infrastructure, structural special inspection projects while overseeing reviewing of field and laboratory testing reports. As CMT Department Manager he is responsible for quality and accuracy of testing performed by the firm, including development of field and laboratory inspectors/technicians and office personnel. He is responsible for laboratory equipment, accuracy and quality of testing and reporting. He has prepared numerous proposals regarding geotechnical evaluations and construction materials testing services. He has performed manometer surveys and forensic evaluations of distress. His prior experience includes years of logging a variety of excavation/drilling types including various auger methods, downhole hammer and rock coring, testing and classifying soils along with supervision of drill rig operations, coordination of field activities including Arizona Blue Stake, permits from various government agencies, inspections, and traffic control throughout the State of Arizona.
