Edward LaMont, PG, CEG

Born in Santa Barbara and raised in San Diego, Ed has worked in Southern California geotechnical consulting since 1988. He started in San Diego, then worked in Orange, Riverside, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties, plus projects in central and northern California. He has been a lab technician, field engineering technician, field geologist, staff geologist, and project geologist, and he spent one year as an engineering geotechnical reviewer for the County of Orange. Project work includes raw-land assessments, forensic evaluations, landslide studies, fault studies, seismic and liquefaction studies, and structural improvement studies. He has also done Phase I and limited Phase II environmental site assessments for more than 25 years. Work outside California includes Hawaii, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada.

Ed has managed GeoTek's Riverside/Corona office since it opened in 2004, and he also oversees the Vista office.
