Born in Santa Barbara and raised in San Diego, Ed has worked in the southern California geotechnical industry since 1988. Ed began his career working mostly in the San Diego area then migrated north to work across Orange, Riverside, Los Angeles and San Bernardino County areas. Ed has also worked on numerous projects in central and northern California. Experiences and responsible duties have ranged from Lab Technician, Field Engineering Technician, Field Geologist, Staff and then Project Level Geologist. Ed also spent one year as an Engineering Geotechnical Reviewer for the County of Orange. Geotechnical project experiences have ranged from raw land geotechnical assessments for properties intended for development; forensic evaluations; landslide studies; fault studies; seismic/liquefaction studies; structural improvement studies; and many other site-specific evaluations. Ed has also performed environmental reviews (Phase I and Limited Phase II Environmental Site Assessments) for over 25 years. Significant projects worked on outside of California have included in the states of Hawaii, Colorado, Arizona and Nevada.

Ed is and has been the manager of GeoTek’s Riverside/Corona branch office since inception (2004) and oversees all aspects of the office operations. Ed also helps to oversee the operations of GeoTek’s Vista Branch office. Ed manages the office with the intent of being responsive and thoughtful of his client’s needs, while promoting hard work and integrity and providing highly professional geotechnical and related support services.
