Christopher Livesey

Chris Livesey is the Branch Manager of our Vista office and has over 20 years of geotechnical experience. Mr. Livesey began his career in geotechnical engineering working at a private consulting firm in Orange County. He gained experience working as a geologist, field and laboratory technician while pursuing his Bachelor's of Science degree in Geology at the California State University of Long Beach. After working in the industry for 10 years around Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties, Mr. Livesey moved to San Diego County and joined GeoTek in 2018.

Mr. Livesey has been involved with numerous residential, commercial, public works and military projects within southern California. Project experience ranges from single lot custom homes to master-planned communities to urban high-rise infill re-development. Mr Livesey's career experience progressed from the laboratory, to site geotechnical and fault hazard evaluations, to construction observation and testing, to project management. Projects include the need for geotechnical investigations (soil reports), fault evaluations, slope stability analysis, construction observation and testing, basement and retaining walls/permanent shoring (tie-backs, soils nails, soldier piles), and ground improvement projects.
